These are are top rated because they passed the “drop ball test” (The frames are sturdier than “dress frames,” and the lenses must be able to pass a “drop ball” test, which, as the name implies, involves dropping a hard ball onto the lens from a certain height. (Ouch!) If the safety eye glass lens cracks or shatters, it fails the test)
The frames are velvet, the arms are plastic. Each comes with a silk bag and cloth to clean.
